Ghoulish Goings-On This Halloween at Warwick Castle

This Halloween Warwick Castle will be turning up the fear factor and inviting those who are brave enough to come along and experience the spooky shenanigans and ghoulish goings-on.
From the 16th – 31st October, thrill-seekers can explore the Haunted Hollows, a Castle walk filled with creepy crawlies, cobwebs, skeletons and spooky surprises aplenty. Stalking the grounds will be several chilling characters including ghoulish grave diggers and the grotesque singing plague victims. Visitors will also be dared to follow the Pumpkin Trail around the castle grounds – a perilous path of over a thousand pumpkins which leads to the sinister Pumpkin King.

Cuban Crocodiles at SEA LIFE London Aquarium
New for 2010
SEA LIFE London Aquarium is now home to a pair of the world's rarest reptiles, two critically endangered Cuban Crocodiles. The arrival of these first generation captive-bred females marks the beginning of an important new research and breeding programme to help protect the decimated species.
Only a few thousand Cuban Crocodiles remain in the wild living in just two swamps, and the newly arrived females are among a mere handful in captivity in Europe. The crocodiles join a host of other creatures including Poison Arrow Frogs and Piranha Fish in the Rainforests of the World area at the aquarium.

Come face to face with African Dwarf crocodiles at Great Yarmouth SEA LIFE Centre
New for 2010
Come face to face with African Dwarf crocodiles in a secret ancient temple. These sleek and sinister reptiles grow up to 5 feet long and hail from West Africa, where they are hunted as a culinary delicacy. Deforestation reduces their natural habitat year on year, and as a result they are becoming increasingly endangered.
This will be the second major new feature in successive years, following the launch of a penguin facility in 2009…already a firm favourite with guests. The Centre’s mighty ocean tank complete with sea turtle and tropical sharks is the centrepiece of more than 30 stunning aquarium displays.

Humboldt Penguins at the National Seal Sanctuary - Gweek
New for 2010
A small breeding colony of Humboldt penguins…part of a European Sea Life breeding programme…have been established at the National Seal Sanctuary in Gweek.
The attraction’s main business of rescue, rear and release for stray, sickly and abandoned grey seal pups will continue unabated however, as will the care of resident and retired seals and sea lions, not to mention a selection of rehomed farm animals…and a pair of Asian short-clawed otters.
